    This is the 2nd time I had to replace this part. The last one only lasted 5 years, but that's better than buying a new fridge! That's why I only gave it 4 stars... Seems like it should last longer. I bought the thermostat just in case that was also a problem but didn't install. I have installed one previously and I think it's fine still.

    The defrost element was a perfect fit for my refrigerator when I checked the serial number the price was over half compared to a store I checked in Omaha Nebraska that wanted triple the amount for the same part I would highly suggest getting this part as it is an exact fit if you need it.
