Replacement hinge missing threaded screw holes
I am adding this review to hopefully save somebody hours of time like I just wasted for myself. Bottom line is the hinge I got from the site was fine except for the fact that I found no indication that the screw holes, four of them, come on threaded. The original part has drainage holes but this one comes in with no threads. I saw on some Amazon or some other site people complaining about the same thing and some people used self tapping screws but I didn’t want to go that route because there were some problems with it and I didn’t know how long it would last. So I found A comment somewhere where someone talked about the fact that they just ran bolts entirely through the normally threaded area, and then just put a washer and a knot on the back side. I didn’t know if there would be enough room to do that but there was plenty of room after I decided to go that route. I’m uploading the pictures to hopefully show you what’s going on here… Hope this helps you as I was pretty frustrated they’re thinking I either ordered the wrong part where they sent me a defective one or whatever. Easy to install and fits perfectly
Love the description which includes model numbers this works on. I’m not a great handyman, but it took me less than an hour to replace the hinge and be doing laundry again. Be sure to note how the two pieces of the door fir together before separating; that added ten minutes to my task because I didn’t. There’s a very nice video online on how to replace this.
