Testing tip: Thermistors do not have continuity, they show resistance. Therefore, to test it you need a multimeter that measures ohms. With the power disconnected from the dryer, connect the multimeter to the thermistor. Then use a hair dryer to blow hot air over the thermistor. As the thermistor becomes hotter, its resistance should decrease. If the resistance doesn't change when the temperature changes, then thermistor should be replaced.

A few days after ordering I received and measured the resistance of the part, it measured the correct kilo ohms at room temperature. I installed the Thermistor into my Electric Kenmore HE4 (Whirlpool) dryer. The heating element in the dryer is once again glowing as it should be. After installing the Thermistor the HE4 dried a couple of loads perfectly.
Note: The people at Speedy were very helpful in quickly answering a question I e-mailed to them. Their response gave me the feeling that they genuinely care.

Received it quick and it worked perfectly and for a great price
Wasn't sure if I was going to put everything back together; but, I did. My drier worked perfectly after installing this part
along with the thermostat fuse that I also bought from this site, why not for a few more dollars and it was suggested.
Can't beat the price and with a one year warranty it is a no brainer. -
Works perfect
Installed it today, put my dryer back together not sure if it was going to work. Turned it on and it worked perfectly. I left the bottom panel off first to see that the ignitor glowed then saw the flame come on. I then did a load and it dried my clothes in not time, just like it worked when it was new. I also suggest buying and installing the
thermostat fuse too, it is only a few bucks so why not. Both have a year warranty so why not. So happy that I don't have to spend time at the laundry matt, if you live not to far I can even possibly help you out *smile* -
